What must it have been like for the disciples to be filled with the Holy Spirit? It was like a powerful wind. When the disciples were gathered on one place, all able to speak and have people of every nation understand in their own tongue. It was like a fire, with individual flames all parts of the fire. The spirit brought them together, yet their individuality was intact.
This individuality in every tongue allowed them to reach out to others. In our fractured world today, the call is the same, to reach the lapsed and the lost. May we look to Him and be filled with the Spirit as we reach out to those around us.
