Following instructions can be difficult – but following God’s instructions follows a promise that no matter what we do, we have the blessed assurance that we will finish with Him. Let’s trust His instruction.    

When we read the passage of the good Samaritan, we are commanded to “go and do likewise.” our neighbors can be welcoming, helpful, private, or secretive but they are still our neighbors. Let us go like the Samaritan and be a good neighbor – no matter what the circumstances may be.

No matter how we perceive beggars, we are all beggars. Martin Luther knew this, that we are alike in our need for healing and forgiveness. Jesus told us “blessed are the poor in spirit,” and we continue to be dependent on His healing and His forgiveness.
