Like Tom Hanks in Castaway, we sometimes rely on ourselves or our things instead of God. It may be tempting to rely on our “wilsons” instead of relying on God – but this pushes God aside by trusting in ourselves and not in Him. Our world will have changes but God is still the same.

Following instructions can be difficult – but following God’s instructions follows a promise that no matter what we do, we have the blessed assurance that we will finish with Him. Let’s trust His instruction.
When we read the passage of the good Samaritan, we are commanded to “go and do likewise.” our neighbors can be welcoming, helpful, private, or secretive but they are still our neighbors. Let us go like the Samaritan and be a good neighbor – no matter what the circumstances may be.
